About Me

I began teaching computer workshops for Seniors fifteen years ago, though my work as a professional Librarian and as a volunteer with Portland Public Libraries.

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Library Science. As a Librarian for close to twenty years, I have worked in public, university and medical libraries and for a library software vendor. Recently, I was employed as a Product Manager for a database software company in the Bay Area of California, providing customer support and training and writing documentation. I have lived in Israel and Canada and I am a dual U.S./Canadian citizen.

I now live in beautiful Portland, Oregon with my son, who is a college student. When it’s not raining, I like to spend as much time outdoors as possible, hiking and observing and photographing nature. I also enjoy reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and visiting natural areas and historic sites.

I am the Organizer of a Meetup; Seniors Exploring the Internet.  We meet once a month at FreeGeek.  I am also active in the Portland chapter of Amnesty International.
